Permission Differences

  • Managers (with permission): Can create, edit, and delete announcements
  • Employees: Can only view announcements on their dashboard and receive email notifications

Create an Announcement (Managers Only)

Who can create announcements

Only MANAGERS and HEAD_MANAGERS with the "Create Announcements" permission can create announcements.

  • Employees CANNOT create announcements
  • Manager must have the specific permission enabled
  • Head managers have this permission by default

Go to Announcements page

In the left sidebar, click "Announcements"

  • Page title: "Announcements"
  • Shows all current announcements
  • Only visible to managers

Click "Create Announcement" button

Look for the blue button at the top of the page.

  • A create form appears
  • Shows title and content fields

Fill in announcement details

Enter the announcement information.

  • Title (required): Short headline (e.g., "Holiday Schedule Change")
  • Content (required): Full message details
  • Both fields are required

Click "Create" button

Save and publish the announcement.

  • Announcement is created immediately
  • All employees see it right away
  • Email sent to all active employees automatically
  • You'll see a success message

View Announcements (Everyone)

For Managers

In the left sidebar, click "Announcements"

  • Shows all announcements
  • Most recent at the top
  • Can create, edit, and delete (if you have permission)

For Employees

Announcements appear on your Dashboard

  • In the left sidebar, click "Dashboard"
  • Scroll down to "Company Announcements" section
  • Shows the 3 most recent announcements
  • Click "View All Announcements" to see more

Email notifications

Employees receive emails when announcements are created.

  • Email sent to all active employees
  • Includes announcement title and content
  • No action required - informational only

Edit or Delete Announcements (Managers Only)

Edit an announcement

Click "Edit" button on any announcement.

  • Update the title or content
  • Click "Save" to apply changes
  • Changes appear immediately for everyone

Delete an announcement

Click "Delete" button on any announcement.

  • Confirmation popup appears
  • Click "Delete" again to confirm
  • Announcement is removed immediately
  • No email sent for deletions

Viewing history

All announcements stay visible until deleted.

  • Announcements don't expire automatically
  • Managers can delete old announcements
  • Most recent announcements shown first
